Bullshit Boener

Bill Maher once called Boener a golf bag   Rachael Maddow has repeatedly said he's bad at his job.  I call him a sleazeball lying piece of something.   He went on the air tonight and lied like the dog he is saying Obama wouldn't take yes for an answer despite that Dems have conceded 80%.  Instead of saying we are this close, we only have this much to go, he snuffed like no movement had occurred at all.

Why is it now, when Obama is president, the only time anyone can remember that we have had a debt crisis?  Rhetorical question I know, but just want to make it clear that the limit has been raised 74 times since 1962.

Where was the outcry and the line in the sand when W raised the limit seven times.  Pretty rich given this  manufactored fracas stems from repub spending and tax cuts (remember, Clinton left office with a surplus).  But now the deficit is all Obama's doing.  This  is their stragegy, to manufacture crisis hoopla and keep the soundbites running on Fox so the hayseeds will drink the koolaid and vote O out of office next year.  The good of the country be damned.

Our system of government is intentional divided.  Baggers don't own this whole thing and can't have it s all their way.  Infantile ignorant brats and what a piece of work this golf bag who can't do his job is.  The majority of Americans see right through this sham and I can't wait to lick my chops the second Wednesday of November 2012.

Smokin Sixties - and before

So mannerlyish were we then.  No first names unless invited, kid gloves aur rigueur at lady luncheons .  Dowagers still tea toddled and Kids were compelled to a low profile.  Yet we smoked like stacks everywhere and anywhere, not the least concerned with it.    Smoking is to be endured.

1995 +Could you please not smoke.

Keith Olbermann Coming to Current - HP Post

Look forward to watching the new show. Contrary to the righty trolls who come to HP just to antagonize
, Keith is not the Ying of Beck's or O'Reilly's Yang. Sorry, just an all out false equivalency to say he is.

I did get a little tired of Keith's soapbox tirades and thought he was often petty and could spend his time better by not focusing on the lies and hypocrisy coming from the right. But he was a check on all that and he called Fox's and Limbaugh's utter disregard for truth and decency. His rants were out of sheer disgust and indignation and he appealed to me because I am equally disgusted with the right's media haters. Keith isn't a hater, just a truth teller.

Fox Noise

This is the same point I always try to make. You have these ratings queens who gloat about Fox's ratings, but there are good reasons why the ratings are what they are and one might have to do with Fox being accessible to about 25 million more viewers, of which, by the way, a piddly 1-2% of said audience tunes in. More cable providers offer Fox in basic package and MSNBC is often only included in premium packages, plus Fox has some type of deal or setup (Dish Network, I think which is owned by Murdoch) that virtually guarantees it being the only news available in bars, airports, etc. package. I've heard that in some areas of the country, MSNBC isn't even available.

On a sheer quality front, you have to ask how many people buy Bjork compared to Hootie and the Blow fish or watch predictibl
e Hollywood box office hits compared to quality independent films. How many more eat at Applebee's than the authentic neighborhood mom and pop's? I watch PBS too, which doesn't have great ratings. It's always about quality for me. Also younger, better educated folks tend to get News from a variety of sources and may watch Maddow, et. all online, which doesn't figure in Nielson's ratings. And polls have revealed that the more ignorant and older Fox viewer' tend to get their only source of news from Fox's propaganda machine. So, now, I'm done belaboring this inane rating argument once and for all.

Blogishness

Starting a blog is a lumbering hassle.  My name is now kings rant so I guess I may.  Little anticlimactic though, really.  Can't find a damn thing to rant about just now.  Crickets...So....uhm...again, thanks for stopping on by.  Fair thee well.  A launch party to be remembered for sure.
